PetroChina's oil major r&d projects "tarim oilfield exploration and development key technology research and application" (phase 2) have passed the inspection in Beijing on May 25. This mature technology, capable of producing oil and gas 7 kilometers underground, provides powerful technical support for efficient exploration and low-cost development of tarim oilfield.

      Wang hongfeng, deputy manager and chief geologist of the oil and gas development department of the tarim oilfield, said:"The deepest drilling depth is 8,038 meters.We drill 20 to 30 exploratory Wells and evaluation Wells every year. we find about 150 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and we should find 500 billion cubic meters in the next 3 years."
