According to the bahrain national news agency (BNA) on April 1, the Bahrain government announced the discovery of new tight oil and deep gas resources.The discovery is the biggest since bahrain's first oil extraction in 1932.

      Bahrain's oil minister commented on the news: In the early days of discovery of these resources, bahrain has been conducting a detailed analysis of "discovery content, size and availability" along with the internationally renowned oil industry."This will be a project to break new ground in the industry," says a professional analyst.

  Bahrain is not a member of the organization of petroleum exporting countries. Its oil revenues come mainly from two sources: The BahrainField oil field in the coastal region of bahrain and the AbuSafah oil field Shared with Saudi Arabia.

      The bahrain ministry of petroleum will hold a press conference on April 4 to provide more details on the initial discovery scale and feasibility of the new oil and gas fields.
